Guiltfree Terms of Use

These terms are a contract between you and Anthony Terjesen, an individual trader based at Keurenplein 41 (A1874), 1069 CD Amsterdam, Netherlands ("we", "us"), for the use of the Guiltfree app and website ("the Service"). Support: support@guiltfreeapp.fit, +1 945-203-5909.

1. What Guiltfree does

Guiltfree turns a cooking video, a link or a screenshot into a structured recipe, estimates its nutrition, and can produce a lighter version of the same dish with ingredient swaps. It also lets you set a weight goal and track the calories you have saved. Recipes, nutrition figures and swaps are produced by software, including AI models, from public content you point us to.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 to use the Service. The weight-goal plan and daily calorie targets are only available if you confirm you are 18 or over. If you are under 18, use the app for recipes only. By using the Service you confirm the information you give us is true.

3. Your account

The app creates an anonymous account when you first open it. You may later link it to Apple, Google or an email address to keep your library across devices. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Progress, Settings, Delete account); deletion is permanent.

4. Subscriptions and payment

• Free tier. The free tier includes a limited number of imports a week and a limited number of guiltfree conversions, as shown in the app. We may change those limits.
• Guiltfree Pro is an auto-renewing subscription bought through Apple's App Store. The current options are shown in the app before you buy: a yearly plan (currently €34.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial where offered) and a monthly plan (currently €5.99 a month, no trial). Prices vary by country and are set in your local currency in the App Store.
• Renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you do not cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancelling. Manage or cancel in your device's Settings, Apple ID, Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Unused portions of a free trial are forfeited when you buy a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal; by starting the subscription you ask us to begin the service straight away and acknowledge that, once the paid period has started, the right of withdrawal is lost for that period, except where Apple's refund policy says otherwise.
• Changes to price. We will tell you before a price increase takes effect; Apple will ask you to agree where the law requires it.

5. Health disclaimer, read this

Guiltfree is a cooking and general wellness app, not a medical service. Calorie and macro figures are estimates from ingredient lists and public reference data; they can be wrong, and the swaps are suggestions. The daily target is arithmetic from the numbers you enter, not clinical advice. Do not use the app to manage a medical condition, and talk to a doctor before making a big change to your diet, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, have or have had an eating disorder, or take medication affected by diet. If a target ever looks too low for you, it is: the app never intends to suggest under-eating, and you should stop and seek advice.

6. Imported content and copyright

You import recipes for your own personal, non-commercial use. We store the recipe text we derive and a thumbnail, attribute the creator and link back to the source; the source video is processed and discarded. You may not use the Service to copy, republish or sell someone else's content. If you are a creator and want your content removed, email support@guiltfreeapp.fit with the link; we act on valid requests promptly.

You keep the rights to what you add (notes, photos, manual recipes). You give us the licence needed to store, process and show it to you and to operate the Service.

7. Acceptable use

Do not: use the Service for anything unlawful; try to access other people's data; interfere with the Service or its rate limits; reverse engineer the app beyond what the law allows; use automated means to import at scale; or upload content you have no right to use. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

8. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep the Service running but it depends on third parties (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, AI providers) that can change or block access without notice. We may change, suspend or withdraw features. Imports of a particular link may fail; that is not a defect in the Service.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for losses arising from reliance on nutrition estimates or suggestions in the app, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms, with notice where the law requires it.

11. Law and disputes

Dutch law applies. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim there. EU consumers can use the European Commission's dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

12. Changes to these terms

We will post the new version here and tell you in the app for material changes. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.

13. Apple

The app is distributed by Apple. Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance. Apple's standard End User Licence Agreement applies where it is more protective of you: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
